vCard QR codes

One scan and your name, phone, email, and website land in someone’s contacts — no typing, no typos.

What is a vCard QR code?

A vCard is the standard format phones use for contact cards. A vCard QR code stores that card directly in the pattern. When someone scans it, their phone offers to add the contact.

QR Studio uses the widely supported vCard 3.0 format, for example:

BEGIN:VCARD · VERSION:3.0 · FN:Jane Doe · ORG:Acme Inc. · TEL:+1 555 0100 · EMAIL:jane@example.com · END:VCARD

How to make one

  1. Open the generator and choose vCard.
  2. Enter your full name, organization, phone, email, and website.
  3. Adjust colors, optionally add your logo, and download the PNG.
  4. Scan it with your own phone to check every field.

Which fields to include

Fewer fields = a less dense code that scans faster at small sizes.

FAQ

Do iPhones and Androids read vCard QR codes?

Yes. Recent iOS and Android camera apps recognize vCard codes and offer to save the contact.

Can I update my vCard QR code later?

No — the details are stored in the code. If your number or email changes, generate and print a new one.

Is my contact info stored on your server?

No. The code is generated in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

Should I use a vCard QR or a link to my website?

Use vCard when the goal is “save my contact.” Use a URL QR when you want people to see a portfolio, booking page, or link-in-bio.
